Client Vision
In addition to creating spaces that are warm, safe, and dry, Westerville strives to create spaces that are inspirational to students, teachers, staff, and the community.
Challenges that were Overcome
When district leaders first challenged us to start helping them create spaces that are inspirational, not all of the teachers and staff bought into the idea. Many challenged the notion that it could be done. However, the district and TRIAD were persistent and strategic. The team piloted creating unique spaces, one at a time, to test them out before implementing them district-wide. As each space gained more notoriety and grew in popularity, it wasn’t long before the same types of spaces were being asked for throughout the district.

General Scope
TRIAD has completed multiple, award-winning, innovative interior renovations throughout the district. Notable projects include the Early Learning Center (Pre-K facility), the Academic Enrichment Center (unique program for at-risk high school students), the Center for Inspiration (one of a kind middle school media center that includes a tinker space), and the SHOP (high school high tech and low tech maker space).

“Our partnership with TRIAD Architects has been outstanding and led to the design and construction of one of Westerville City School’s most innovative and inspiring learning spaces for students, The Shop at Westerville North High School. Before the dust had been wiped off this new space we had students working in The Shop with industry professionals on a collaborative project that included real-life skills aligned to college and career readiness. TRIAD added the “WOW” factor to The Shop and took the vision for the project to the next level.
