Client Vision
The Glacier Ridge Wind and Solar Learning Center wanted to create an outdoor classroom that provided a space for students to learn about wind and solar power. However, the outdoor classroom also needed to shield students from the abundance of wind and sun that made it a good space for wind and solar power.
Challenges that were Overcome
To accommodate the vision, we sunk the outdoor classroom/amphitheater into the ground to help provide shelter from the wind and provided a canopy to provide shade from the sun.
