Jubilee Market and Cafe

Imagine a family in a neighborhood that is a food desert getting access to healthy food for the first time…

Client Vision

The client desired to create a “pay as you go” grocery store geared to eliminating a food desert in the Franklinton area and providing healthy food options to its residents.

Challenges that were Overcome

The client had a very limited budget. During the design phase, they identified that they may be able to utilize some decommissioned equipment from Kroger. We met with Kroger representatives and the grocery manager at their warehouse. We cataloged the potential equipment noting size, electrical requirements, and mechanical requirements. We worked with the cafe to incorporate this repurposed equipment into their plans, saving them a significant amount of money.
