capital improvement program

Imagine a two-decade partnership to ensure that all facilities are more than just warm safe and dry, to create places that inspire…

Client Vision

Westerville continually strives to make their facilities warm, safe, and dry. When we first started working with Westerville, early on, they struggled to define objective measures for what “warm, safe, and dry” meant. However, visionary leadership in the district developed ranking systems in 4 key categories to track customer satisfaction: Building, Grounds, HVAC, and Roofs.

Challenges that were Overcome

Through the years, we have helped the district push these rankings through the roof. One major challenge the district faced was a reduction in staff.  To help overcome this, we formed our construction wing and started taking on the construction of maintenance/capital improvement projects.

With TRIAD Architects performing scheduling building/equipment assessments, our building maintenance cost per square foot has been at or below the benchmark established in 2000.
